Welcome to Holiday Homes Normandy
La Chapelle d'Andaine, Orne, Normandy.
In the heart of the pretty Normandy market town of La Chapelle d'Andaine, can be found the imposing façade of Le Manoir d'Andaine, the Napoleonic house and grounds, to once the local Notaire. The two properties on this land have now been lovingly restored and turned into beautiful holiday homes, offering self-catering accommodation for discerning guests who want high standards holidaying in this part of France.
Set in a large private walled garden in this pretty part of picturesque Normandy is Manoir d'Andaine and its smaller partner, the charming La Maison du Carrosse. Each house has it's own garden area with outside seating / dining and off street parking for a number of cars.
In the gardens and around the houses are many fruit trees, apples, pears, white peaches and cherries. Stay with us in spring and the blossom is heavenly, stay in late summer and enjoy some of the fruit! Stay at Christmas and enjoy the cosy atmosphere the house creates, while the crisp Normandy countryside is all around, and maybe a quick stop under the Mistletoe that hangs from one of the mature trees in the garden.
The garden and grounds of these two lovely French holiday homes have beautiful and fragrant roses, vines and wisteria. The old greenhouse with productive vines has a carpet of sweet smelling Lily of the Valley in the spring.
There is an underground spring that runs under the large formal garden at the front of the house, and supplies a well and hand pump that some say, may be from the same source as the waters in Bagnoles!
Both houses have a friendly warmth, a quiet tranquillity, and lots of charm, making you feel relaxed, rested, and ready to explore this most accessible part of France.
We hope you have a wonderful time in Normandy, visiting our French holiday homes.
Robert and Susan Shaw.
